Welcome to Lady Grey's Crochet
I've embarked on an exciting new chapter as a full-time crocheter. But my journey with crochet started long before that. I retired from the Air Force in 2007, after dedicating 20 years to serving my country as a Medic. It was an honor and a privilege, but the call of creativity was never far from my heart.
My love for crocheting was nurtured by my dear mother, who taught me the art of crocheting when I was just 10 years old. I treasure those early memories of crafting alongside her, with the sound of a CBS Mystery Series, which we would now call a podcast or audiobook, filling our home. It was our special bonding time, and crocheting quickly became a cherished part of my life.

Over the years, my crocheting journey has been a series of beautiful moments intertwined with the responsibilities of motherhood, being a wife, and pursuing a full-time career. During those special moments, like when my children were born or I felt the need to create a personal keepsake for others, I would pull out my yarn and hook.

Then came 2020, a year that changed everything. The COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected downtime, and with it, the perfect opportunity to revisit my lifelong passion. I reached for a ball of yarn and my crochet hook and rekindled my love for the craft.

Since then, I've poured my heart and soul into creating over 20 crib blankets, baptismal shawls, cozy afghans, delightful amigurumi stuffed animals, and various kitchen and home items. Each piece is a testament to the joy and comfort crocheting can bring to our lives.

In 2022, fueled by the encouragement of my family and friends, I took a giant leap of faith and decided to turn my crocheting passion into a business. Thus, Lady Grey's Creations was born.
My goal is to share the warmth and charm of crocheting with the world. Every item I create is a labor of love, a blend of skill, creativity and a tribute to the traditions passed down through generations.
When I'm not enveloped in a sea of yarn, you'll find me in the delightful company of my beloved best friend and husband, Bob. We relish our time together, often cruising the open roads on our Harley Davidson or savoring moments at the abundant local breweries that grace the vibrant landscape of Colorado Springs, Colorado. I hold a firm belief that kindness is the authentic pathway to happiness. Nurturing connections and demonstrating care for one another serves as a guiding principle, ensuring we maintain a balanced perspective in the face of any challenge. And when life presents its trials, I truly feel the comforting embrace of a steaming cup of tea holds the power to resolve even the most intricate of predicaments.
As you explore my website, you'll find a variety of handcrafted items that make perfect gifts or cherished additions to your home. Whether it's a cozy blanket for a newborn, an intricate baptismal shawl, a cuddly amigurumi friend or a functional kitchen accessory, each piece is crafted with care, attention to detail and a touch of nostalgia.

Thank you for joining me on my crocheting adventure. Together, we'll create lasting memories and bring the art of crocheting into your life in a meaningful way.
